The end of Chelsea spending in the English premier league is coming to an end as is owner Roman Abramovich is on is way down financially. According to an Article By Shane Edwards
the global economic crisis meltdown of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has lost over 9 billion according to Russian financial magazine Finans. It is said that Abramovich's total wealth has fallen from $23billon to $13.9billion.
Chelsea have set themselves the target of becoming financially self sufficient on an annual basis from July and no longer be reliant on the wealth of Roman Abramovich.
Chelsea's recent financial figures show that they lost £66 million last year with Abramovic investing more then £700 million into the club.
Have we seen the end of Chelsea's superior spending power? Is it possible for the club to become self sufficient?
With their current performance in the league cans the Blue of London survive with a single support from it’s owner’s wealth?
